Sams update

Sam's Hearing!

Before you read the following reports please keep in mind that we have freely given this information so that you can see that the work we do is taken very seriously and that under mainstream test conditions the techniques have remarkable results as this case shows:

First report dated 19/06/2006

Upon testing at the Mater children's hospital in Brisbane we discovered that Sam suffered from  severe profound hearing loss. The test under sedation showed the following results:

Air conduction Click ABR: - No repeatable waveform responses were observed at the maximum presentation level of 90db for either ear.

Bone Conduction Click ABR: No repeatable waveform responses were recorded at the limits of the equipment (i.e., 45db) suggesting a sensorineural component to Samuel's hearing loss.

Tone Burst ABR: (Predicted behavioural hearing thresholds): Results indicate a profound hearing loss bilaterally in the 0.5 - 4kHz range.

Cochlear Microphonic (CM): No cochlear microphonic response was observed for either ear at 80db using an alternating stimulus polarity.

Summary: Results indicate a profound hearing loss bilaterally, with likely sensorineural involvement.

After 2 weeks on the 2/7/06 the first of a new type of healing therapy developed by Dr Sherwood was applied to Sam's Left ear directed at the cochlear, the energy went in according to plan with no feedback which according to Dr Sherwood gave the impression that the cochlear was intact.

On 11/7/06 A visit to the Australian Hearing (Is an Australian Government agency) was conducted.

Sam conditioned reliably for visual Response Orientating Audiometry (VROA) in the free field.

The results revealed a moderately-severe to severe hearing loss, across the major speech frequencies in at least one ear.

Tympanometry - (R) (L) Normal tympanic membrane movement and normal middle ear pressure.

Sam was at this stage impressioned for behind the ear hearing aids.

frequency range responses where as follows: (500hrtz at 70db),(1000hrtz at 90db), (2000hrtz at 85db), (4000hrtz at 85db).

On 14/7/06 2nd healing application this time to the (r) ear with a 6 point access profile. More damage in (R)  than (L) but repairable.

On 9/8/06 hearing aids fitted.

On 15/8/06 3rd healing therapy on both ears. (Applied without hearing aids fitted).

On 12/9/06 The hearing aids follow up showed a 50db,70db?,80db,95db? (? questionable response result due to difficult restless behaviour) However the results resulted in the hearing aids being reduced in volume as threshold responses where better at 500Hz and 2kHz in comparison to previous testing.

Sam was showing stronger signs of audio responses without the hearing aids fitted also at this time.

There was also a sudden jump in walking with free walking now happening at distances of 2-3 metres. Still uncertain though about free standing alone. However marked increase in walking ability from a month ago at this time.

Update as of 1st September 2007.. Sam is now hearing and there is no further need for the hearing aids from what can be monitored now. He is also going to school a special one to assist with other aspects of his development. Things are getting better for him now!

We have found that he gets seizures when in the southern hemisphere but not in the northern hemisphere. It looks like the brain energy changes in the way it operates from north to south.

We shall research this and bring you the results once we have them.
