A Researcher from Springbrook has captured photos of what he believes may have been a UFO sighting above Carrara.
Occured Tuesday May 27,abive the sky in Carrara about 7.10 pm.
"At first the light was white with a red ring around the edge,then the ring turned green and evntually turned red again.The light lasted 15 to 20 minutes and got brighter,then it fadedinto the night" said Mr Maguire a Mycologist who has spent two decades studying luminous mushrooms and glow worms.

MOD Magazine UFO Article
I recently sought and obtained a commission from the Ministry of Defence's
magazine Focus, to write a feature on UFOs. In particular, I wanted to get
across to the military and civil service readership some information about
the Rendlesham Forest UFO incident of 1980. Dubbed 'Britain's Roswell',
this is the UK's most significant UFO event but has sometimes been
misrepresented as the sighting of lights. In fact, as the United States Air
Force witness statements make clear, the security police personnel saw a
metallic craft with strange symbols on the hull. The article ran in the
March issue of Focus with only very minor editorial changes:
The Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident - By Nick Pope
The Ministry of Defence's UFO Project has its roots in a study commissioned
in 1950 by the MOD's then Chief Scientific Adviser, the great radar
scientist Sir Henry Tizard. As a result of his insistence that UFO
sightings should not be dismissed without some form of proper scientific
study, the Department set up arguably the most marvellously-named committee
in the history of the civil service, the Flying Saucer Working Party. The
committee's conclusions were sceptical; UFO sightings were
misidentifications of ordinary objects, or hoaxes. They recommended no
further action. But in 1952 there was a series of high-profile events where
UFOs were tracked on radar and seen by RAF pilots, and this forced the MOD
to think again. UFO sightings were to be collated and sent to the
Department for investigation, so that a determination could be made as to
whether anything of any defence significance might have occurred. Since
then, over 10,000 UFO reports have been received. From 1991 to 1994 I
worked in the department responsible for this bizarre subject. It was among
the most fascinating of my postings in 20 years in the Department.
Most UFO sightings received by the MOD had prosaic explanations: aircraft
lights, weather balloons, meteors, airships, etc. But in all of this, a
small percentage looked more interesting and one case in particular stood
out. This was the so-called Rendlesham Forest incident. Last December saw
the 25th anniversary of what is universally accepted as Britain's most
famous UFO sighting. There was extensive media coverage of this bizarre
anniversary, a commemorative Boxing Day event organised by the Forestry
Commission at the site of their 'UFO Trail', and several unofficial
'skywatches' where UFO enthusiasts came together to mark the event, swap
stories, and generally stand around getting extremely cold. So why the
interest? What happened in the forest all those years ago and why is it
still generating so much interest?
Rendlesham Forest lies between the twin bases of RAF Bentwaters and RAF
Woodbridge in Suffolk. In 1980 both facilities were operated by the United
States Air Force (USAF). The Cold War was still decidedly frosty. The
Solidarity Movement was taking hold in Poland and Soviet forces were
building up on the border. It was against this background that a strange
series of incidents occurred.
In the early hours of 26 December 1980 military personnel at the twin bases
saw strange lights in the forest. At first they thought an aircraft might
have crashed, so they went out to investigate. What they found was not a
crashed aircraft, but what they could only categorise as a UFO. Nearby farm
animals were going into a frenzy. One of the security police officers got
close enough to touch the side of the object. He and another of the airmen
present attached a sketch of the craft to their official USAF witness
statements. One of these sketches even details the strange symbols seen on
the craft's hull, which the witness likened to Egyptian hieroglyphs. "I
wish I'd had my weapon, because I felt totally defenceless," one of the
young airmen, John Burroughs, subsequently remarked.
Two nights later the UFO returned. The Deputy Base Commander, Lieutenant
Colonel Charles Halt, was informed and went out into the forest to
investigate. He too saw the UFO, which at one point fired beams of light
down at his party and at the Woodbridge facility. "Here I am, a senior
official who routinely denies this sort of thing and diligently works to
debunk them, and I'm involved in the middle of something I can't explain",
he subsequently commented.
The MOD's investigation included an inconclusive search for radar evidence
that might have corroborated what was seen. Of far more interest, however,
was an assessment of radiation readings that had been taken from the landing
site with a Geiger counter. The readings had peaked in three holes in the
ground which formed the shape of an equilateral triangle, as if the UFO had
landed on a tripod of some sort. The Defence Intelligence Staff stated that
the readings seemed "significantly higher than the average background".
Their report suggested that the radiation level was around seven times what
would have been expected for the area concerned.
There are various sceptical theories for what was seen, the most prevalent
one being that the various witnesses were somehow misled by the beam from
Orfordness lighthouse, shining through the trees. "If the USAF really are
capable of hallucinations induced by a lighthouse which must surely be
familiar to them, then I shudder for that powerful finger which lies upon so
many triggers," remarked Ralph Noyes, a former MOD Under Secretary who took
a close interest in the case after his retirement. Charles Halt's reaction
to the theory was blunter. "Lighthouses don't fly," he said. Ralph Noyes
was not the only senior figure to take an interest in the case. Former
Chief of the Defence Staff Lord Hill-Norton corresponded with the Department
extensively about the incident, and tabled a number of Parliamentary
Questions in the House of Lords.
Many UFO researchers believe that information about UFOs is being covered
up. They see a vast conspiracy to keep the truth from the public. Nothing
could be further from the truth. Requests concerning UFOs are among the
most frequently submitted under the Freedom of Information Act and the MOD
has made great efforts to be as helpful as possible. Information has been
made available under the Publication Scheme, in the FOI 'Reading Room' and
at the National Archives in Kew. The entire file of the Rendlesham Forest
incident has been scanned in and is available on the MOD's website.
The official position is that these events were of no defence significance,
but the Rendlesham Forest UFO incident remains unexplained to this date. I
hope that we have some answers before the 50th anniversary of one of the
most extraordinary incidents ever investigated by the MOD.
On Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at 7:30 a.m., a massive explosion rocked the greater Manchester area in UK. The explosion was heard as far west as the Isle of Man, as far north as Rochdale and as far south as Timberly.
The initial report appeared in the Manchester Evening News - about an explosion that centred in the village of Worley, near Manchester, At first it was thought an earthquake was the cause. The British Geological Survey was contacted and said this had not disturbed any seismic instruments.
A second article was published in the Manchester Evening News in which a woman reported seeing two fireball-type objects in the sky with flames coming off them. Dozens of other individuals also saw these two objects in different areas.
A report from Jodrell Bank (observatory) claimed that it was a bolide or meteor that caused the explosion
A man out walking his dog on the day of the incident saw uniformed police officers walking around a wood in the centre of Worley. A motorist saw smoke coming from the wood near to where the other man had seen the police looking around. Plainclothes police were walking in pairs near the scene.
On Friday morning, "October 15, 2004, a local man said, 'There were dozens of police all over Worley centre, and the park was full of police vehicles.
A lady in the town of Bury saw four RAF Tornado fighter jets flying at a very low level, heading towards the Salford-Manchester area on the day of the explosion.
Did they find something in the wood so strange that there has been nothing about this incident on TV, radio or in the newspapers? One has to ask-has a D Notice been put on this case" by UK's Ministry of Defence?
FLOTILLA OF 23 SILVER UFOs SEEN IN VERACRUZ, MEXICO
On Tuesday, October 19, 2004, at 11:30 a.m., a flotilla of 23 silver crescent-shaped UFOs flew over the port city of Veracruz, 350 kilometers (210 miles) east of Mexico City.The crescent-shaped UFOs, which were of a brilliant silver color, remained in view for approximately 45 minutes. They were seen by both a police patrol and a commercial jetliner while over
the city. Cell phones were affected, and animal reacted violently to the
passage of the mysterious objects. A commercial pilot also saw the objects
and radioed the tower at the airport. The UFOs were also seen by the crew of an AeroMexico Boeing 737, which had just taken off for the flight across the Gulf of Mexico to Miami, Florida, Sra.
"There were 23 objects, semi-spherical, of a silver color, which flew in a V formation. The objects actually changed color throughout the flight. At the moment they changed color, to red or to green, they changed their position within the formation. The objects changed from green to red, doing it each time more and more rapidly. VILLAGERS SAY ALIENS ARE BUILDING A BASE IN THE HIMALAYAS
Mountain villagers in the Tarai region of India's Himachal Pradesh state claim that UFOs have been seen "by day and by night" near the high-altitude glaciers of the Himalayas. A Tibetan (Buddhist) monk who recently visited India - said these activities have been going on since 1998.
Since Sunday, October 10, 2004, UFOs, ranging in size from "very large cylindrical objects of a dull silver colour" to "small speedy discs," have been seen over the glaciers north of Chini, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from India's border with China. UFOs seen at night were said to "glow red and gold.
Some Indian helicopter pilots are complaining about sophisticated jamming. Some of the IAF (Indian Air Force--J.T.) pilots are continually reporting seeing strange flying objects in the Himalayas near the Chinese border.
According to a scientist of the Indian Geological Survey, UFOs have been visiting a 100-square- kilometer portion of the Tarai frequently during the past 18 months.
The military personnel are talking privately but maintain that for national security reasons nothing more can be said. But at least one of the officers has come out and said bluntly that these are UFOs.
There are many indications that a large underground base is now being built within the hard andesite (bedrock) of the high Himalayas. The construction is going on in the high terrain close to the No Man's Land between India and China.
Increased Indian and Chinese army activity has been seen in the region.
A Chinese armored brigade, outfitted with T-80 main battle tanks, was ordered to proceed to the border from the People's Liberation Army (PLA) base in Niuke. But when the tanks got to Zhada, they got a real surprise.
An artificial lake had been created west of Zhada, very close to the Indian border. The lake filled the Langchui River valley (called the Sutlej River on the Indian side) and threatened to flood the Indian side.
India and China both refused to investigate the incident. Then, all of a sudden, the local Chinese people reported that the lake was no longer there. Whatever remained of the lake was no longer a threat to the Indian villagers. What really happened?" What caused an artificial lake of this size? And who took care of removing the problem?
It is thought that the aliens melted a glacier and created the temporary lake to prevent those Chinese tanks from reaching the border. There are many rumours at the Indian Space Research Organisaton (ISRO). They say these UFOs are definitely planning and building a fortress in the Himalayas for a purpose known only to the aliens themselves."
One rumour is: the Extraterrestrials are active in the region with the collusion of the (Chinese Communist) Party and New Delhi, to ward off an attack from the Anglo-Americans and the Israeli.
